A towering Hindu Nationalist✴️
The iconic Shri KKK Nair was the District Magistrate of Faizabad (now Ayodhya) from 1949 to 1949.(9 months) During his tenure, he played a key role in reclaiming the site of the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, which was then under the control of the Sunni Waqf Board. He reclaimed Janmsthan for all Hindus by ensuring the sthapna of Swayambhu Murtis of Sri Ram Lalla by Saryu Devi herself. She washed the place(Shuddhi)and installed the Murtis, which she carried there riding on her waters. It was a recurring dream of divine significance which guided Nair Sahib on this most remarkable action.
#Nair Sahib was a devout Hindu himself, and he was committed to the cause of Hindu Nationalists who wanted to build a Temple on the site. However, he was also a pragmatist & knew that any attempt to build a temple without consent of the Waqf Board would likely lead to violence...as many attempts had failed in the past.
Instead, Nair took a more subtle approach. He ordered the construction of a boundary wall around the site, which effectively prevented the Waqf Board from using it. He also allowed Hindu pilgrims to worship at the site, which further legitimized their claim to it.
#KKK_Nair's actions were controversial at the time, but they ultimately proved to be successful. In 1992, a mob of Hindu Nationalists demolished the #BabriMasjid, which stood on the site of the #VivadhitDhancha. Today with the order from #TheSupremeCourt_of_India, the Indian Govt has acquired the site & began construction of a new temple, which will be completed soon.
Nair's legacy is complex. A devout Hindu, he was a man of towering principles who stood up for what he believed in, even when it was unpopular. However, he was also a pragmatist who knew how to achieve his goals without resorting to violence. His actions helped to pave the way for the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, which is a major symbol of Hindu Nationalism in India.
Nair Sahib always said, that this action was divine guidance by #ShriRamChandra ji & that he did it for Samast Hindu Samaj Kalyan.
