A Himalayan Legacy - Polo

In 2010, Rohit Singh Negi Productions produced a Social Branding Campaign Film titled "A Himalayan Legacy: Polo". The Film showcased the History of Polo in the Kargil Region and its importance to the local culture. The film has a  unique & fascinating storytelling technique which features original interviews with local polo players and significant stakeholders. 

The Film- "A Himalayan Legacy: Polo" was critically acclaimed by the stakeholders & was screened at many locations in Srinagar, Gulmarg, Leh, Drass and is watched by the international Polo Fraternity across  the globe. The film has helped raise awareness of Polo in the Kargil-Drass-Leh-Ladakh Region and has promoted Rural Tourism & Development in the area.

Rohit Singh Negi Productions has  showcased The Drass Polo Club as one of the most "unique" Polo Clubs in the world, which stands as an Iconic Symbol of the Spirit of the People of Ladakh. It is  located in the Drass Region 30kms  away from Kargil. The Film was a catalyst in showcasing The Drass Polo Club and the remarkable cultural legacy of this Himalayan Town which Rohit Singh Negi believes is "The Cradle of Polo". 

Author's Note:-

This Region is a sentinel town on the Indo-Pak Border &  has been the canvas of a major Aggression between two Nations. The semblance of security and normalcy that is visible in this stark Himalayan Region is the  direct  result of the highly patriotic, efficient, socially responsible and remarkable Indian Army.... I would not have been inspired to do this Campaign and Initiative without their support. 

Further , the unflinching commitment to the Development of J& K by the young Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his  Administration's support to my crew that encouraged  me to create this most unusual Initiative & Campaign. It is unlikely that I could create  another Campaign like this without the support that I got from so many people specially from my Office that allowed me to delve into my past Hospitality Training and diverse Tourism Campaigns background to create this unparalleled Tourism Initiative.... We were blessed.

 Ofcourse I will also thank our other stakeholders who also benefitted hugely by this very successful Campaign in which they invested.
