With the right investment & promotion, Rural Tourism can become a major contributor to the economy of Jammu and Kashmir. It can also help to preserve the state's unique culture and heritage.
The State has a rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, which can be leveraged to develop attractive Tourism products and experiences.
🔹Traditional Villages: Kashmir is home to many traditional villages that have been inhabited for centuries. These villages offer tourists a glimpse into the past, with their old houses, narrow streets, and ancient temples.
🔹Handicrafts: Kashmir is famous for its handicrafts, such as shawls, carpets, and papier-mâché. Rural tourism can provide tourists with an opportunity to learn about these handicrafts and even try their hand at making them.
