Suchitra Sen was an iconic beauty…. of unparalleled and enigma & allure....

She was probably one of the most beautiful & formidably talented actresses of Indian cinema in the 1950s …1960s…1970s.

Known for her delicate elegance and graceful persona.... her performances were often praised for their subtlety and nuance. 

A very private person, she rarely gave interviews or talked about her personal life.

Suchitra Sen was born Roma Dasgupta in District Pabna, British India in 1931.

She began her acting career in Bengali Cinema in the early 1950s, and she quickly became one of the most sought-after actresses in the country. 

She starred in a number of successful films, including "Devdas", Bambai ka Babu & the much acclaimed  "Mamata"….followed by  "Andhi"(1975). 

She won the Best Actress Award at The Moscow Film Festival. Yet it is shocking that Dilip Kumar and Vyjayantimala both won Awards for the film …..but Suchitra Sen was not even "Nominated" for Devdas(1955).

Suchitra Sen retired from acting in the late 1970s. Yet her enigmatic mystique and allure has never diminished. She is still considered to be one of the most exquisite beauties &  actresses of Indian cinema ... her films even today have a cult following. 

Suchitra Sen remains an iconic and immortal  beauty …..a truly unique and talented actress.  Her legacy.... is her  stunning beauty &  enigmatic allure... "India's Greta Garbo".....
