Whether or not Saudi Arabia  adapts #Soft_Islam for its Tourism Initiatives to succeed is a complex question with no easy answer. There are a number of factors to consider, including the Country's Religious Identity, its cultural norms & the expectations of potential tourists.

It's possible that Saudi Arabian Tourism could "Flop" if it doesn't liberalize its culture. The Country has a number of cultural norms that are seen as incompatible with Western Tourist expectations, such as its :-

👉Strict dress code

👉Gender segregation.

These norms can be off-putting to some visitors and make it difficult for them to enjoy their time in Saudi Arabia.

On the one hand, Saudi Arabia is a deeply Religious Country, and its Islamic Identity is central to its National Identity. Many Saudis are proud of their Country's Religious Heritage & they may be "resistant" to any changes that they perceive as watering down Islam

"Soft Islam" for its Tourism Initiatives:

*Relaxing the Dress Code:

The Saudi dress code is very strict, and it can be off-putting to some tourists. The Government could consider relaxing the dress code for tourists, allowing them to dress more in line with their own cultural norms.

*Easing Gender Segregation:

Saudi Arabia has strict gender segregation laws, which can make it difficult for men and women to interact freely. The government could consider easing these laws for tourists, allowing them to mix more freely in public places.

*Promoting Cultural Tourism:

Saudi Arabia has a rich cultural heritage, which could be promoted to tourists. The government could develop cultural tourism itineraries and attractions that showcase the country's history, art, and cuisine.

*Marketing Saudi Arabia as a tolerant and welcoming country:

The Saudi government could market the country as a tolerant and welcoming country for tourists of all faiths and backgrounds. This could be done through advertising campaigns and public relations initiatives.

It remains to be seen whether Saudi Arabia will go far enough in liberalizing its culture to attract a significant number of tourists. The Country's potential as a Tourist Destination is undeniable. Saudi Arabia has a rich cultural heritage, stunning natural scenery & a buzzing Red Sea Project Tourism Development, with a number of Religious Sites that are important to Muslims around the world.

The Benifits:-

*Increased Tourism Revenues: Tourism is a major source of revenue for many countries, and Saudi Arabia is no exception. By liberalizing its culture, Saudi Arabia could attract more tourists and boost its economy.

*Improved international image: Saudi Arabia is often seen as a conservative country with a poor human rights record. By liberalizing its culture, Saudi Arabia could improve its international image and become more attractive to foreign investors.

*Increased social cohesion: A more liberal culture could help to reduce social tensions in Saudi Arabia. By allowing people to express themselves more freely, the Saudi government could create a more tolerant and inclusive society.

The Saudi Government has shown that it is willing to take risks in order to modernise the Country. If the Government is able to manage the transition carefully, the benefits of liberalizing culture could outweigh the risks of a Conservative Islamic Backlash.....till then  UAE - Dubai remains an oasis of #Soft_Islam & remains a Tourism Hot Spot in the  Islamic World...
