Kamal Nath: The Guru of Realpolitik

Kamal Nath is a veteran politician who has been in the Indian National Congress (INC) for over 50 years. He has held a number of important positions in the party, including President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) and General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

Nath is known for his political acumen and his ability to get things done. He is also a master of #Realpolitik, the art of politics based on practical considerations.

Nath's life and career have been shaped by the challenges of Indian politics. He has seen the rise and fall of governments, the rise of regional parties, and the rise of Hindu nationalism.

Through it all, Nath has remained a loyal Congressman and a committed Constitutionalist. He is a role model for young politicians and a reminder that politics can be a force for good in the world.

#KamalNath served as the 18th Chief Minister of #MadhyaPradesh from December 2018 to March 2020. He was the leader of the #IndianNationalCongress (#INC) in the State of Madhya Pradesh.

Nath was born in #Kanpur, #UttarPradesh, on 18th November 1946. He is an alumnus of the prestigious #DoonSchool , he has done his graduation in Commerce from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata,  He joined the INC in 1967 and has held several positions in the Party, including President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (#MPCC) and General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (#AICC).

Nath was elected to the #LokSabha, the lower house of the Parliament of India, nine times from the #Chhindwara Constituency of Madhya Pradesh. He was also the #Minister of Urban Development in the United Progressive Alliance (#UPA) government from 2004 to 2009.

In the #2018 #Madhya Pradesh #Assembly Election, the INC won 114 seats, a slim majority. However, the INC was able to form a government with the support of the Bahujan Samaj Party (#BSP) and the Samajwadi Party (#SP). Nath was sworn in as Chief Minister on 17th December 2018.

As #ChiefMinister, Nath focused on improving the state's infrastructure, education, and healthcare. He also launched several welfare schemes for farmers, women, and the poor. However, his tenure was marred by a political crisis in March 2020. A group of Congress MLAs defected to the Bharatiya Janata Party (#BJP), which led to the collapse of the INC government. Nath resigned as Chief Minister on 20 March 2020.

Kamal Nath remains an enigmatic figure who is seen as a seasoned politician with a deep understanding of Madhya Pradesh, he is also an unparalleled #Guru of "Realpolitik"  in today's India.
