Dal Lake is a lake in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the second largest lake in the State and is known for its beauty and its unique ecosystem.

The lake is divided into four parts:  

🔷The Gagribal is the largest part of the lake and is home to the famous Mughal gardens. 

🔷The Lokut Dal is the second largest part of the lake and is where most of the houseboats are located. 

The Bod Dal is the smallest part of the lake and is home to the floating gardens.

 The Nagin is a separate lake that is connected to the Dal Lake by a channel.
